Iron Man 3 Minimates Hit Stores This Week!

If you’re looking to re-create the world of Iron Man 3, you can make 13 different characters and armors using the interchangeable two-inch mini-figure line. Comic shops will exclusively get War Machine with Maya Hansen and Cowboy Disguise Tony Stark with Aldrich Killian, as well as Iron Man Mark 42 with The Mandarin, and Iron Patriot (with Rhodey and Savin heads) with an Extremis Soldier. Toys “R” Us will also get Iron Man/Mandarin, and Iron Patriot /Extremis Soldier, plus their own exclusive two-packs: Suit Up Tony Stark with Heartbreaker Armor and Bones Armor with Silver Centurion Armor.

Chicago’s C2E2 2013 Was the Meeting Place for Minimates Fans!

Still under embargo are two more sets made exclusively for Toys “R” Us, to be revealed later, and an exclusive box set, at a retailer to be announced!

New Thundercats Minimates Have Landed!

Tygra comes with his bolo, Cheetara with her staff, and the Thunderkittens with their smoke bombs, lassos and hoverboards. (Did we mention RoBear Bill?) This assortment of two-inch warrior animals includes four different two-packs: Vorin the Ram with Vachonus the Scorpion, Merk the Falcon with Fenruk the Tarantula, Gruntos the Walrus with Tate Reynolds and Strictus the Rattlesnake with Bliss Reynolds. New Marvel Minimates Are In Stores Now!

Series 47, which is only at comic shops and specialty stores, is all about the X-Men! The assortment includes Wolverine, Rogue, Colossus, Dazzler and Longshot in their classic looks — some of them have multiple costumes — and each comes with a character-specific stand or accessory. Pictures from the Minimates 10th Anniversary Exhibit!

Located on the lower level at the Jacob Javits Center, the Minimates 10th Anniversary Exhibit had over 400 Minimates on display — not even a third of the over 1400 Minimates that have been released over the years. Marvel and DC Comics characters were displayed alongside Minimates from Star Trek, The Walking Dead, Ghostbusters and The Munsters, and the walls were hung with original concept art, as well as promotional posters from movie-based Minimates lines like Back to the Future and A Fistful of Dollars.

The artists behind most of those posters, Minimates designers Uriel Caton and Barry Bradfield, were at the exhibit on Sunday to sign 500 Universal Monsters Minimates posters for exhibit attendees visitors. They were also joined by Minimates product manager Robert Yee for a panel presentation on Minimates, during which they revealed the control art for next year’s 50th series of Marvel Minimates. The line-up for that series was voted on by over 10,000 Marvel.com visitors, and the release will coincide with the Marvel line’s 10th anniversary.

Another Minimates poster signing took place at the DST booth on Saturday with comic artist Ulises Farinas, to promote DST’s upcoming Battle Beasts line of Minimates. Farinas is the cover artist for Battle Beasts from IDW Publishing, which is based on the toy line. The entire first series of Minimates was on display at the DST booth for the first time.

Booth visitors received a promotional 10th anniversary Minimate, and exhibit and panel attendees were given a free promo Minimate from the company archives. Tenth anniversary pins, programs and numerous posters were also given out all weekend. Check out pictures from the event below!
